Stripe x INDY Cinema

Stripe x INDY Cinema is a film we created to showcase how Stripe supports INDY, a platform built for independent cinemas to manage bookings, operations, and payments seamlessly. At its core, the project is a love letter to cinema—both the experience of going to the movies and the craft of filmmaking itself.

We shot on location in New Canaan and Edinburgh, grounding the story in real cinemas and the communities around them. The film celebrates the magic of the big screen, weaving in classic clips from old films to honour the legacy and emotional pull of cinema. Throughout, we incorporated subtle visual nods to iconic movie moments—gentle homages to famous shots that film lovers might recognise—adding an extra layer of meaning without distracting from the story.

As with many of our projects, we embraced a mixed media approach to give the piece texture and warmth. The combination of formats adds a tactile, nostalgic quality that mirrors the timelessness of cinema itself. Alongside this, we clearly demonstrate how Stripe powers the INDY platform behind the scenes, making payments and management effortless so cinemas can focus on what truly matters: the audience experience.

It’s a piece that blends technology and storytelling in a way that feels natural and heartfelt—a celebration of cinema, supported quietly and effectively by Stripe.
